Ian founded Architects in Practice after honing his skills at some of London’s leading practices, including CGL and Stirling Prize winners dRMM.

With over 15 years’ experience delivering mixed-use residential, education, and regeneration projects, he brings a creative eye, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for thoughtful design.

As Founding Director, Ian shapes the vision and direction of AiP, guiding projects from concept to completion while keeping design integrity at the heart of every decision.

A Northerner by birth, a Londoner by choice, he is an architect, cycling enthusiast, and record collector, bringing the same curiosity and energy to his work as he does to life.
