Located within the boundary of a private residence, Tri-Yoga is a standalone studio space for private yoga and wellness classes. To respect the wider site and minimise impact on the landscape, the studio is and tucked away into a triangular corner of the site, nestled amongst the tress, which further supports the studio’s use and promotes wellbeing.

Our approach for Tri-Yoga is to promote the use of ‘healthy materials’. With the structure formed from glulam timber and the walls formed from cross laminated timber (CLT), the studio treads lightly on its environment.

To benefit from its natural water and fire resistance and thermal and acoustic properties, un-treated cork was selected for insulation, lining internal walls and wrapping two sides of the studio, while its natural earthy tones further help embed the studio into its surroundings. Garden-facing glazed sliding doors flood the studio with natural light and, when opened, allows the internal experience to be shared with the outdoors.
