Architects in Practice have been commissioned to design a one-off contemporary home on a spectacular site set within a partially wooden plot near the rural village of Cockayne Hatley, Sandy. Boasting spectacular countryside views, South Lodge will be a unique family home that takes full advantage of its surroundings.

Proposals comprise of a series of individual buildings sensitively arranged to avoid impacting existing mature trees. Each building consists of a key element: living, sleeping and play, with further elements, such as guest and leisure factored into a wider design strategy ensuring the scheme is futureproofed for expansion and/or adaptation.

The design is driven by well-being and sustainability, specifically with the use of healthy materials, renewable energy sources and fully integrated technologies.

Currently at the concept stage, planning is anticipated late Spring 2024.
